HE…is a story of a MAN with unwavering faith & extra ordinary determination in pursuing the woman of his dreams. She, who proved to him that there is indeed such thing as “magic in love at first sight”…

SHE…is a story of a WOMAN seeing clearly through the years of searching for the right time and the right man. He who assured to her, that there’s no such perfect when the real one can make her feel complete!

Finding MR. RIGHT in God’s perfect time seems to be ideal. Love comes in most unexpected packages & indeed, God works in mysterious ways!

The love story started way back year 2004 when Mr. Jhono Sumanga, a bachelor seaman from Nabas, Aklan visited Mrs. Fanny Timbas’ place in Albasan, Numancia. Mrs. Timbas is Jhono’s Aunt who happens to be an employee of the secondary school, Numancia National School of Fisheries where Ms. Lilia Torres is a teacher.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

It was quite a very monumental moment for Jhono seeing Lilia from a far. While Lilia on the other hand, living her life happy & free (and who would ever know that there’s something missing?) had no idea that someone recognized her vibrancy…

From a glance to an instant crush! You know how it is, when you really like someone at first sight that your world seemed to stop revolving as if that certain person remains only one visible behind the thick crowd leaving you speechless? Whew! Jhono can’t deny that he has these special feelings for Lilia, something strike him that he would even wonder at the force behind such an emotion the first time he saw her. Quite simple, yet too powerful to ignore!!

MYSTERIOUS TXT MATE

Without a second thought, Jhono asked Lilia’s name and cellphone number to Emil Timbas, his cousin. And they became txtmates. Several phone calls lead to courting. Unfortunately, Jhono didn’t get to see Lilia as often as he could because of the demands & priorities of their respective worlds. For Lilia, Jhono remained to be her mysterious txt mate. Until their communication just suddenly stopped when unintentionally Jhono lost his sim card…

POWER MOVES

A year later, Jhono & Lilia ran into each other again by chance. They met personally on August 28, 2005 when Jhono courageously head on to NNSF, went to Lilia’s classroom & formally introduced himself. By then, Jhono renewed his courtship and by that time, the ice had been frozen & Lilia began to see Jhono in a different light. Brilliantly romantic at that! They got along so well, developed special friendship & eventually blossomed into love!

THE PROPOSAL

Lilia got the feeling of accepting Jhono’s proposal the cutest way she knows how. She playfully thought of having this kind of thrill to make the day memorable, meaningful & fun-filled! (kun maka strategy si Ma’am oh!)

On a date, Lilia asked Jhono to look for a Mister Doughnut outlet in Kalibo. She really needed munchkins (small round doughnut as props). Wow, come to think of it! Jhono was clueless of the idea of expressing Lilia’s precious “OO” through two round munchkins. (weeeeh, para-paraan lang yan! hahaha…)

Nowhere to find a Mister Doughnut outlet (hay uwa pata kato, may sa Gaisano eon makaron), they ended up inside Chowking Restaurant in Kalibo. (di halipatan eon do round munchkins ngato, never mind! hehehehe). Lilia ordered Chowking Lauriat & glad to know there’s a presence of two round something on it similar to munchkins. Well, Lilia let Jhono ate it (si Jhono eata nagkaon it daywang ka bilog ngato) Jhono surprisingly picked up what Lilia means. He smiled & asked to confirm, “Does it mean YES?”, “ay tao lang, kahina ta kimo”, Lilia confidently answered. (wow! huo eon!) so that’s it!!

FIRST EVERYTHING

Jhono by the way, is Lilia’s first ever boyfriend!!! Oh so sweet! That is something very sacred to be shared. What made Jhono fall in love with Lilia is her simplicity, effortless beauty & cheerful personality. She’s a woman of substance, kind, naturally sweet & has a zest for life. Behind that reserved being is a real humor. One of the great things that made Lilia admire Jhono is his constant effort of making her feel special & loved all the time, proving the world he’s worth a perfect partner for life.

THE WEDDING

In a relationship, they both enjoyed each others company, sharing the same thought, having a good laugh & planned the future together. Apart from being a testament to how great Jhono’s love is for Lilia, the couple’s ultimate altar date was set, DECEMBER 16, 2006.

I can’t express my happiness as I can see they’re both in love! I believe its God’s will for them to be one. In the presence of God, witnessed by their families & friends, Lilia submitted herself to Jhono in a great “I DO”, more than a two round munchkins could do. She vowed to stand by you Jhono at all times through all the uncertainties & challenges of life. Lilia promised to create a peaceful, restful, happy & safe place for you & your children to come home to. To Jhono, it’s his great honor to say the sweetest name he will ever hear: MRS. LILIA TORRES–SUMANGA!!! He can stood tall & claim his love, his life……and his wife!

He commits himself to be stronger in times of doubt, to lift you up & make you smile. And most of all, to be your MAN for the rest of your life!
