TO THE GRADUATES

(it was not too distant past when I completed my 4 years blue-checkered skirt in High School at my beloved NNSF. Parting from my beloved Alma Mater is really sad, farewell to consider yet we must! I'm sharing this 'commencement message' to all High School graduating students...)
Greetings!

Graduation is definitely a significant milestone in your life for at last, you finally made it… and you did it very well!

It will not only bring you great pride of yourselves and of your parents but it also ushers you to another step as you conquers life’s battle.

I am confident with the knowledge & values education you have achieved from your Alma Mater as your foundation that will propel you to a greater opportunity to pursue for a higher learning and give you greater possibilities in the future.

Your time is at the crucial road of living and in seeking for the reality, and in finding what is ‘real’ you will undergo experiences that will measure your endurance, but always remember it is only when the truth hurts that we enjoy the happiness of freedom, and the very essence of happiness is spelled ‘SUCCESS’.

Now that you are stepping out of the shelter that has protected you for many years, it is fitting that you commend firstly: thank God for the wonderful years of teaching & learning; for without Him it would be impossible to accomplish our endeavors each day and attain our aspirations in life;

Thank your parents, who never failed to back you up, be it emotionally, spiritually, and financially and for the mere fact that they had been there all throughout;

Thank the ideal teachers who serves as instruments of hopes, notwithstanding the burdens and sacrifices of their noble profession; Thank your friends who shared behind you through thick and thin as you live and grow enormously together. Most of all thank and congratulate yourselves because you dared to dream, conquered and accomplished!

I foresee that the bright years ahead are waiting for you after your High School Graduation, as one of the measures of the school’s greatness, is in the quality of its graduates. Carry on!

Congratulations and God Speed!

High School Glitz & Glamour

FLASHBACK

High School life is so great! Obviously my overused statement. I could go on all day sharing all the glitz and glamour of our high school days.

And to think that we have to leave the corners of our beloved Alma Mater, Numancia National School of Fisheries is really sad. It seemed to be like losing a ‘treasured diary’.

High School life is like pages from the Diary. All those moments we shared will only be fragments of our imaginations and would only be part of our memories from now on.

There were folded pages of secrets & sentiments that will only be part of our precious memories after the day of our graduation way back March 23, 2002.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS

The Orientation Program, Acquaintance Party, Intramural/Cultural Contest, Christmas Party, JS Prom, CAT Instructions/Presentation of Sponsors…whew! I can’t imagine, I’ve been part of the play. What a performance!

FLASHBACK

Those bonding days when we never felt closer to each other, how we started as total strangers until we discovered friendship; when our throats got sore & would leave us breathless cheering for our players during intrams; when we got all the energy practicing for our winning dance steps during cultural contests; when butterflies in our stomach got wild during oral recitations; when our hands would terribly sweat & shaking during examinations; when we go crazy with all the assignments, projects, memorizations, researches & quizzes; when we almost freak out during CAT Instructions under extreme heat of the sun or a pouring rain, how about our JS Prom Night…oh-so perfect! and when we got sick getting romantically involved to the so-called ‘infatuation’….

NOT BAD AT ALL
How exhausting to failed an exam; lost the championship award; teachers who don’t seem to compromise; deadlines that haven’t been met; friendship misunderstandings & bonggang heartaches. “Love hurts the most, the first time you fall,” and it can only happen in High School.

Through it all, we graduated gladly & graciously. All those struggles made our friendship grow like no other. In High School, we definitely had the most FUN!

After our graduation, we walked different paths, conquered different worlds, faced our respective endeavors, braved our respective storms and live happily on our own.

It even came to a point of setting aside the ‘friendship’ we’ve made. Our only possessions was the PAST…memories, smiles, laughter, & tears brought to us by our High School days.
Then we came to realize seeing clearly through the years of ups and downs that our greatest happiness was…EACH OTHER!!!
